Starting Today You Will Need A Burn Permit In Tennessee

Starting today, you’ll need a permit to do this in Tennessee.
The state forestry division is requiring free burn permits before burning leaves or natural vegetation, including debris from the Hurricane. The permits will only be issued when the state deems it safe to burn and you’ll be able to get them online on the same day.
For the health and safety of everyone, our offices are temporarily closed to the public.
