Out in Cookeville, the community is coming together to save a landmark.
The “Cream City” neon ice cream sign is actually the 2nd oldest neon sign in the whole state and dates back to 1950. It’s become so popular that people ask if they can get married up by it even, no, you can’t do, however, part of the sign doesn’t light up so a fundraiser is being held to restore and preserve the sign this weekend.
On this Saturday’s “Scoop for the Sign” event, a portion of ice cream and coffee sales at Cream City will go towards the restoration effort. Details HERE
