If youโre like most folks, you have a catch-all drawer. These are generally located in the kitchen and have everything from a half-chewed pack of gun to that Phillips head screwdriver you can never find when you need it most. But if youโre like me, you also have a catch-all or simply a junk room. Itโs my spare bedroom and houses extra items I donโt use every day that Iโm not ready to part with and boxes. Tons of boxes โ mainly from Amazon that are waiting to be broken down and hauled off to recycling โ a date still yet to be determined. Yep, if thereโs clutter in any room of the house, itโs my spare bedroom. Speaking of clutter, I found a new survey on the subject โ would you believe 40% of homeowners surveyed say they fear facing the clutter at their home? I feel their pain. The rest of the survey โ courtesy of The Container Store shakes out like this:
โ 50% of people say home organization impacts their mental health
โ 25% of items are currently out of place in American homes
โ 46% of homeowners would feel embarrassed if guests saw the state of their โjunkโ storage areas
โ 37% of people say their garage looks like a nightmare
-33% of people struggle to stay organized.
Iโll be honest, anyone whoโs gotten the โnickelโ tour of my house, also gets to see my โjunkโ room โ if only for a second. Got a room full of clutter youโve been putting off organizing?! Love hearing from you, so be sure to hit the comments below! And thanks for stopping by my lil slice of the web! โ Butter
