SMALLER BUSINESSES CLOSING
We lost a lot of small, local businesses during the Pandemic, and now more are closing down because lease prices are going up. Restaurant –bar Twin Kegs II on Hermitage Avenue is closing at the end of March. The owner says he had a 10 year lease, went to renew, and the owners refused.
He mentioned City Winery being bought out, though an announcement on the website said, “The future of City Winery Nashville is bright and our shows are all on as planned! Our current location on Lafayette Street is our home for another 3 years, so come on down and indulge your senses with us. The sale of our building paves the path for an exciting new location in 2026, stay tuned for all the details for our seamless transition to our new home. For now, come on down to Lafayette Street and enjoy our awesome shows, fabulous food and award winning wines.”

McCabe Pub is also closing down, after more than 40 years in Sylvan Park. The owners say the business will close in January, and say if you want to visit before that happens, they’d love to see you. They’ll announce the official closing date on their website or Instagram page.
