Anna Marie and Karyce here, to tell you how we were gifted with a special Holiday Memory, as we tried to help listeners have some fun!
We planned a RealLife Christmas Party and Kitchen Social, a new business in Brentwood, Tennessee, offered to host us for the party and a group cooking class. We were thrilled!
So, we took entries, picked some listener names, and sent out invitations to our RealLife Party.
As soon as we walked into Kitchen Social, we could tell it was going to be special!
Appetizers they had prepared for us!
Chef Nikki and Jack had everything laid-out for us, had some DELICIOUS appetizers prepared, and were smiling and ready to help us have FUN!
And we sure DID! We – and our guests – made Baked Brie with Pomegranate and Pistachios, Beef Wellington Bites, Lamb Lollipops, and Bourbon Bacon Onion Jam Crostini (photos below in order as mentioned!). Our servings were enough to eat while we were there, and we had enough to take home! The memory of those leftovers is still living rent-free in our – and our HUSBANDS’ – minds!!!
We’ll probably never be done talking about it, lol!! The delectable food, the laughs, the bonding… all the stuff that Kitchen Social helped us create, were EXACTLY what we all needed!
We have gotten emails from our listeners talking about the event, so we’re sharing some of those here, because you have GOT to get a real idea of what a new GEM Kitchen Social is!
I cook all the time. I’m from Louisiana so we are born to cook good food!! I would never have thought to go to a cooking class, but I learned a few techniques that I never knew. Had an amazing time! Chef Nikki and Chef Jack were so good and had lots of information I didn’t know! I would most definitely go back again!

It was such an amazing experience that I’m already planning for 3 different private events. I’ve been to other group Cooking Classes, but never have I felt so comfortable that I almost forgot it wasn’t my kitchen. – Mabel
I want to thank you for a fun and Informative night. I enjoy cooking and to know we have something like this in Nashville is great. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the chefs. Their tips were great, the menus were tasty and easy to create again. I am trying the recipes again next week for a dinner party I am hosting.
I am also already planning another trip down to Kitchen Social, and hope to bring a few of my coworkers with me!
This truly is a great place for date night, girls night, and team building. I highly recommending everyone to at least go and experience it once and I promise they will go back.

Kitchen Social was the perfect place to mingle while learning new and exciting recipes. My husband and I enjoyed getting to know some of our Mix 92.9 family while singing Christmas carols and searing lamb chops. We hope to be a part of more of these fantastic events!

Just a note to thank you and everyone involved in the RealLife Kitchen Social Party.
As one of “the chosen,” this was an event that I will never forget. I recently became blind and to be included in this event was such an encouragement to me. (Just the fact that I was entrusted with a super-sharp knife as we prepared the food and not seen as a 911 invitation to disaster brought joy to my heart!) For the first time in a very long time, I felt accepted, alive and happy.
The night was filled with laughter and smiles with glimpses of some “real life” struggles that some listeners had gone through this year or in the past. Being surrounded by real people who in many cases needed to have a good time, Mix 92.9 made that happen!
For some, this may have been just another thing to write on their social calendar. For me though, it meant more than that. I was blessed to be in the company of so many wonderful listeners. To meet others who enjoyed the station as much as I do was the common thread that brought us all together. Photos were taken and friendships forged. Mix 92.9, with the music and its personalities, provides the uplifting atmosphere that is so needed in our lives these days.
I felt as if Anna Marie and Karyce were family- Anna being the older, wiser sister who holds everything together with Karyce the adventurous, crazy little sister who brings the fun to any party!
Finally, Kitchen Social was the perfect place for this holiday get together. Chefs Nikki and Jack were so personable as they taught us what we needed to know as we prepared the entrees for the night. It was a fun time that I will never, ever forget.

Are you crying, yet? lol. This RealLife Christmas party truly took on a life of its own, and became something special for all of us, and was EXACTLY what we all needed.
We thank Kitchen Social for making it happen, and our employer, Mix 92.9, for helping us find a way to connect – in REAL LIFE – with our wonderful listeners! And one more special shout out to Chef Nikki and Jack for creating a spectacular menu and making the evening so memorable for all of us!
