Traffic Experiment Set to Launch on I-24 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Interstate 24 in South Nashville will serve as the site for a test dubbed the “world’s largest open-track traffic experiment.” The Vanderbilt University-led research project will include 100 “smart” vehicles driving in the regular flow of morning commute traffic to learn how to alleviate stop-and-go problems that seem to come out of nowhere.  The story continues here.
