Nashville Rescue Mission was established in 1954 with a mission to provide food, clothing and shelter to homeless men in Nashville. The Mission’s services expanded to include women and children in 1968, and today, serves more than 800 men, women and children every day.
The Mission focuses on its guests’ entire lives, including their physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social health, and takes a Christian approach to helping those in need within the Nashville community. While the Nashville Rescue Mission provides the basics like food, clothing and shelter, its work doesn’t stop there. Other emergency services include access to hot showers, personal hygiene items, courtyards and day rooms and a computer lab, as well as case management, where guests can be referred for employment, substance abuse and recovery programs.
