If there is one thing I do differently now that I didn’t do 2 years ago it would be grocery delivery to my house. And if I am being completely honest, I have not stepped foot in a grocery store since April of last year. Admittedly I have never spent as much on food as I do now, but I have discovered that having my groceries delivered has helped me be a little more organized in my shopping. Also, a major bonus – I am not putting as many miles on my car running down to the store once or twice every week. I have also found that I tend to get even better grocery delivery service when I tip big. Yep, it is no secret people love that extra money, and when it comes to the amount we tip – our great city just made the Top 20 list in a new tipping survey by Popmenu! Even better, we have so many good tippers around here we made it into the top 3! The number following the city is how much the average person tips there:
- Seattle – 38%
- Austin – 38%
- Nashville – 38%
- Detroit – 34%
- Denver – 33%
- Washington, DC – 32%
- Omaha – 30%
- Dallas – 30%
- Pittsburgh – 29%
- Columbus – 27%
- Fort Worth – 27%
- Raleigh – 27%
- Chicago – 27%
- Las Vegas – 25%
- New York – 25%
- Atlanta – 24%
- Tampa – 24%
- El Paso – 23%
- San Francisco – 23%
- Los Angeles – 23%
Whether it’s eating out a restaurant or if you’re like me and rely on grocery delivery, do you always try to leave a good tip? What’s something that might make you reconsider a big tip? No doubt, my favorite thing about doing this blog is hearing from you! So, leave your comments on this post over on Facebook and as always – thanks for stopping by my little slice of the web! – Butter
