Don’t know about you, but its mind boggling how much time a lot of us have spent at home this year. And in an effort to keep myself from falling prey to boredom, I’m doing a lot more reading – maybe even a little writing and definitely watching more TV and movies. Luckily I feel like I’ve also sharpened some of my cooking skills. But when it comes to taking it easy for a little bit and catching up on my favorite shows or the news, I do call it serious business and sometimes something I’m really looking forward to, but I wouldn’t call myself a couch potato. Speaking of couch potatoes, I found a survey and the fact that there are even more out there in the world and it’s no thanks to this never-ending pandemic. This new poll found that the average person has spent an additional 448 hours on their sofa in the last 9 months. Other findings include:
– 70% of people say their perfect night involves spending time on their couch
– 42% of people say a perfect night involves ordering takeout
– 35% of people say their perfect night involves binge watching a Netflix series
– 35% of people say their perfect night involves playing board games
So where do you stand or should I say sit on the subject? Are you finding that you’re spending more time on the couch watching TV and movies or have you discovered new things to do to pass the time? Hope you get some time to do your favorite thing this weekend, and thanks for stopping by my little slice of the web!
