They get us
to work, they get us back home. They get us to ball practice and Sunday school
and to the grocery store. Talking about
our cars of course! Some of us love
them, some of us hate them. One would
assume that 99% of them have a name though.
By the way if you haven’t checked the calendar, it’s ‘Name Your Car Day’!
Yep! And AutoNation asked 2,500 car
owners what name they’ve bestowed on their car.
I remember being a kid and riding with my mom in an old pickup truck,
that truck’s name was Betsy, but I’m pretty sure every other vehicle my mom ever
owned was named Betsy as well. It was “Come
on Betsy, you can make it up this ole hill!”
Or “Come on Betsy, you can get yourself outta this ditch!” Betsy just seems to be a great, tried and
true name for a car or truck – a workhorse of a name if you will. Makes sense it fits a lot of cars and
trucks. According to this survey, it also
seems “B” names are quite popular:
