BACON SHORTAGE
Bacon-lover that I am, this story made me sad, but you need to know about it. Agriculture experts are predicting a bacon shortage. The feed for pigs costs more this year, so fewer pigs are being raised, and it's going to trickle down to us. First, they say you'll see higher bacon prices, then bacon hoarders buying the stuff up, and finally, empty store shelves where the bacon used to be, all within a year.
CHILD FOUND SAFE AFTER CAR STOLEN WITH HIM INSIDE
What's worse than getting your car stolen? Having it stolen with your CHILD still in it. A Nashville woman had her five-year-old in the car, as she picked up her other kids at a daycare in Antioch, and says when she went back outside, the car and her little boy were gone!
The carjackers/kidnappers dropped the 5 year old off at the TravelCenters of America truck stop on Old Hickory Boulevard.
WHO FOUND THE CHILD? Toni Lutrick happened to be talking to friends in the truck stop parking lot when the child walked by. "He was standing beside me, sobbing so bad that he was out of breath. Being a grandmother, I said, 'I want to help you, but you've got to talk to me and tell me what happened,'" Lutrick said. Lutrick said she called the police and bought the child a hotdog while waiting for officers to arrive.
The child and his parents are back together, as police look for the suspects. Neighbors described them as a group of teenagers, but no official descriptions yet.

People have been bashing lady Gaga because she gained 25 pounds, in the past few months (no, that's not the part you're going to love), and she came back and said, "SO, WHAT?!" She's now posted photos of herself on her website and admitted she's had bulimia and anorexia her whole life, and she's healthy now, and NOW she's getting bashed!?
Gaga is asking her fans to join her "Body Revoluation," and post their own photos and stories on her site.
When they do, she writes them little messages of encouragement. She says, "My weight/loss/gain since i was child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But YOU have," she continued. "My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when i eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been. i am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And i love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well." Lady Gaga is telling fat-shamers that it's not okay, that we're not gonna take it anymore, and she's gonna help a lot of people. What do you think of Gaga's Body Revolution campaign?
MAN ARRESTED FOR RAPING WOMAN IN BATHROOM OF NASHVILLE RESTAURANT
Metro police arrested a man Monday afternoon following an alleged rape in the bathroom of Nashville McDonald's restaurant. The victim told police she was in the McDonald's parking lot located at 2311 Brick Church Pike around 3 p.m. when the suspect, later identified as Casey Dugger, approached her and offered to pay her $500 for sex.

He faces charges of rape, attempted rape, criminal impersonation of a law enforcement officer and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia after a burnt, rolled up piece of tin foil was found in his pocket.
Dugger was booked into the Metro jail on a $107,500 bond
HEALTH: EXPERTS DISAGREE WITH STUDY SAYING OMEGA 3 SUPPLEMENTS DON’T WORK
How many of these are in your diet? Salmon, flaxseed, tofu, walnuts, sardines? All great sources of Omega 3. And most of us DON'T eat them regularly. That's why it was such a big deal when, recently, we heard a study that said omega 3 supplements don't work. Well now other health experts say they disagree, and that the study was flawed. They say Omega 3 isn't a medicine, so we're not supposed to see cures. It's just a supplement, to add to our daily nutrition. However, they still agree that getting supplements from food is better than pills, if we would just eat the foods that have them.

FORMER POPE JOHN PAUL II STAR MAKES CATCH IN CONTROVERSIAL NFL PLAY
A local man was involved in that controversial play that all your sports fan buddies were talking about when you got to work yesterday. Golden Tate, a former student from Pope john Paul the Second High School...is now with the Seattle Seahawks.. and he's the one who caught a pass... that a player from Green Bay ALSO got ahold of .. and the replacement referees were criticized for ruling that Tate completed the pass and won the game. HOWEVER, now the NFL says the call STANDS. Both players had possession but the team with the ball in play gets precedent.
