HERE'S A CONSPIRACY THEORY I CAN GET BEHIND: IS APPLE TRYING TO MAKE YOU HATE YOUR OLD PHONE?
Here's a conspiracy theory you may be able to get behind: economics reporter Catherine Rampell theorizes that Apple is trying to make you hate your old phone. She calls it the Apple Trap. Rampell says the upgrades-- that seem to make your phone run more slowly, and your battery die faster -- may be a business strategy of planned obsolescence, to make you hate your old phone just as the new one comes out.
FLU SHOT STATS AND WHERE TO GET INFO
Last year by this time, there had been nearly 140 deaths from flu and two infant deaths. This year, we're doing a little better, but experts say if you haven't gotten a flu shot yet, you need to do so soon! Flu GETS to babies and elderly people by being passed along by those who haven't gotten vaccinated, and flu cases are already showing up here in Tennessee.
Dr. William Schaffner, infectious disease specialist at Vandy, and the guy the CDC calls for answers, says the current CDC guidelines about who should get the flu vaccine are very simple: anyone older than 6 months of age, needs to be vaccinated.
You can do your own research about whether you and your family will want to ask for the flu shot, the nasal mist, or even the extra strength flu vaccine that older people are supposed to get -- but many don't know about--- on our Shots Etcetera Cold and Flu guide, right on the front page at www.mix929.com

Liberty University beat them to the punch, and trademarked the letters in 2011, the same year Lipscomb started using L.U. on things like its athletic fields and basketball arena floor. School officials say they're using up or tossing out all the stuff with LU on it. It's just too expensive to fight the case.

SCIENTISTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA DISCOVER: EVERYONE STARES AT BOOBS
The phrase "eyes up here" usually applies to some GUY who can't make eye contact with you because he's too focused on your chest. Researchers in Nebraska found out that that phrase applies to women, too! Women stared at other women's breasts just as much as the men did. Scientists used eye tracking sensors, and asked people to look at photos of women ... and give their thoughts. Scientists found that although women look at other women's chests, they tend to do it for what they called "social comparison" .. . to figure out where other women fit in the social puzzle. Men...well... you know why men do. It's basically about who's more attractive. More curvy, more hourglass figures won there, while they might, or might not, with women.
