ONE MONTH SINCE BOSTON BOMBINGS
The Boston Bombings were one month ago today.  Family members of two of the injured victims will walk the entire route of the race to raise money toward their recoveries.

She may even be your Facebook friend, so cops want you to look at a photo of a woman who's cashed three fake checks at banks in Spring Hill, Murfreesboro and Lebanon, and see if you know her. She's stolen more than 13 thousand dollars that way.

STOLEN PROPERTY FROM 16 STORAGE UNITS FOUND IN ONE FAMILY'S HOME
You've heard that saying about the family that prays together? Well, I don't know what this says... but a Mt. Pleasant family has been arrested, and charged with stealing together. Cops say David, Jo Lee and Brittany Cook stole the contents from 16 storage units...and had SO much stolen property when they were caught, that their home was filled, and some of the stolen stuff was just piled in the yard with tarps over it. (The thefts happened from a Storage Express on May 3rd. )
David Cook claims they're not guilty, though he couldn't satisfactorily explain the more than 10 thousand dollars worth of stolen items he in the storage locker he and his family own.  

SPRING HILL MEN PLEAD GUILTY TO RACIAL SLURS AND THREATS
Two Spring Hill men have pleaded guilty to painting swastikas and racial slurs and hanging nooses at the homes of African-American families. 20-year-old Dakota Calderhead and 19 year old Kristian Mathis admitted to the crimes when they were arrested in January, but claimed they didn’t know the families they targeted were black: that it was just a prank.  They could each get 10 years in prison when they’re sentenced in August (21st)

COLUMBIA MAN ACCIDENTALLY CALLS 9-1-1 AFTER PULLING A GUN ON SOMEONE
A Columbia man has been charged with aggravated assault, after he pulled a gun on someone in the 1000 block of Woodland because the guy shouted at him to slow down as he sped down the street in his pickup. Cops had no trouble finding Mosely, because he, or the guy in the truck with him, accidentally dialed 9-1-1 and police could hear Mosely shouting, “I got your slow down,” when someone shouted at him to lower his speed on the residential street.  Mosley’s charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a handgun and driving on a suspended license.

HUGE JACKPOTS TONIGHT FOR POWERBALL AND THE NEW HOT LOTTO
If you play the lottery, you may want to make a stop on your way home to pick up a ticket. Tonight's Powerball jackpot is up to 360 million dollars, the third largest in Powerball history.
And Rebecca Hargrove, the President of the Tennessee  Education Lottery Corporation, says there's another big drawing tonight. It's the new HOT LOTTO. It works differently than most jackpots if you win, because the Lottery corporation pays your withholding taxes. That means if you win tonight's Hot Lotto 6 million dollar jackpot, you get a check for 6 million dollars, and your taxes are already paid.

JOB FAIR FOR GOODWILL
Goodwill is hiring for its Smyrna store. They're holding a job fair today 9 to 1, at the Career Center in Murfreesboro.
But they're not the only ones hiring these days.... There are about 90-THOUSAND jobs listed at any given time on the state's job market website... and officials say because it's new, not everybody knows about it. it's Jobs4Tn.gov. Now you do.

FEDS RECOMMEND LOWER LEVEL FOR LEGAL IMPAIRMENT
Federal accident investigators are recommending that states cut the limit for drunken driving from .08 to .05, a level that's substantially reduced highway deaths in other countries. That would mean about one drink for a woman, two for a man to be considered impaired. At least two Tennessee lawmakers say they think it's a great idea and say they would sponsor bills to lower it.

POLICE; MAN DRANK BEER, SMOKED, COOKED IN STORE
A Kentucky man has been arrested after an apparent binge of getting high with gas from whipped cream cans, then going wild in a grocery store. The store manager found 57 Redi-Whip cans in the garbage Monday morning, then on surveillance video, saw Trevor Runyon had hidden in the building as they closed, and then gone through the store drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, cooking and eating six steaks and other food. He then soiled himself, stole some clean clothes to change into, climbed into the store rafters and went to sleep. That's where cops arrested Runyon the next morning.
 
SUSAN KOMEN FOUNDER PRAISES JOLIE FOR OPENING TO PUBLIC
The founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure says actress Angelina Jolie did a really good thing in opening up to the public about her preventive double mastectomy. Nancy Goodman Brinker says Jolie helped remove the stigma some people feel about  speaking-out about it.

BBB SAYS NASHVILLE DEMO STUDIO RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS
The Better Business Bureau is warning you not to do business with the Nashville Demo Studio. The BBB says they're nothing but con artists, and plans to file charges. (They're apparently aware they're in trouble, both their phone numbers have been disconnected.)

MANCHESTER POLICE LOOK FOR OBSCENE SEXTER
Manchester police are looking for a man who's been sending women naked pictures of himself, offering his 'services' and telling them to 'spread the word!'  So far he's targeted female realtors, so cops think he's getting the names and numbers from real estate ads. Detectives say they do have a 'person of interest.'

TRACE ADKINS PICKS UNKNOWN SINGER FOR TV DUETS
A relatively unknown local talent is going to be on the Today Show ( Wednesday) because "Celebrity Apprentice" finalist Trace Adkins saw her sing at a local school fundraiser and thought she had that 'something special.'  He surprised 23-year-old Maureen Maltez with a copy of a song he normally does with Colby Caillat and asked her, "How would you like to fly to New York and sing this song with me?" After a shopping trip with Adkins' wife, they're in New York right now.

COPS INVESTIGATE ASHLEY TISDALE FAN WHO SENT STAR 18,000 TWEETS
An obsessed fan who has sent Ashley Tisdale over 18-thousand tweets since last November is being investigated by police. According to TMZ.com, Los Angeles police have identified the person behind the tweets as male and are in the process of determining whether he poses a real threat to the star.  He allegedly showed up at her home recently, and someone from the former Disney star's camp reported the strange behavior to police. Some of the tweets seem to indicate that the sender might be under delusions that he has a personal relationship with the actress.

FORT HOOD'S SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION CHIEF INVESTIGATED FOR SEX CRIMES
Fort Hood's sexual assault prevention chief is being investigated for sexual assault. (Pentagon officials have resisted letting military sex offenders go through the regular judicial system, saying the military needs to discipline its own.) The man has been relieved from duty over the allegations of sexually assaulting two subordinates and forcing a third into prostitution. No word, yet, on charges.

MAN CLEANING GUN SHOOTS 1 YEAR OLD
A 13-month old girl is recovering at Vanderbilt Children's hospital after her father shot her in the chest Sunday night. 26 year-old Kevin Sayre says it happened about 11 Sunday night, as Sayre says the baby was not in bed, but standing up at the coffee table in the living room as he cleaned his handgun. He says he pulled the trigter, and the weapon recoiled, hitting her in the upper chest. Sayre is charged with aggravated assault.
