FIVE YEAR OLD SHOOTS TWO YEAR OLD SISTER
Just over the border, in Kentucky, a 2-year-old girl has been accidentally shot and killed by her 5-year-old brother, who was playing with a .22-caliber rifle he received as a gift. Mom was home when it happened. She says the gun is kept standing in a corner, but they didn't know there was still a shell in it when the 5 year old picked it up.

RICIN LETTER SUSPECT
There's more evidence against the guy suspected of sending a ricin-tainted letter to the President. Investigators saw 41 year old suspect James Dutschke throwing away a mask and gloves, that were later found to have ricin residue. They also say he'd ordered the bean used to make ricin on eBay.

DECISION DAY FOR COLLEGES
It's May 1st, National Decision Day for high school seniors. This is the day most colleges across the country require a decision and a deposit from accepted students.

NASHVILLE ON LIST OF TOP TORNADO CITIES
Nashville is one of the country's most tornado prone cities. We're tenth on the Weather Channel list, Huntsville, Alabama is number one. (Of the top ten, only three cities are in what is traditionally called "Tornado Alley." )

CARBON MONOXIDE LEAK CLOSES GOODWILL STORE
Three employees were taken from the Charlotte Pike Goodwill store to the hospital yesterday for carbon monoxide poisoning, after a floor buffer started malfunctioning and putting off the toxic gas. Everybody's okay, and the store is back open.

A new study of more than 100 MILLION email conversations finds that negative people tend to answer emails 36% faster than friendly, upbeat people do. Speculations are that it might be easier to send a, 'sorry, not interested' email than an encouraging response, or that people who spend all day replying to emails end up bitter and snippy.

A new trend among couples these days: relationship contracts. That is, going into a marriage with an agreement for how often they'll get some romance. They get it in writing... that they'll get it at least once a week.

Lisa Hidalgo of Denver was doing the forecast on the local TV news, and the front of the camera suddenly fell, focusing on the floor, and on her feet. Did Lisa get flustered and mess up? No! She laughs, does a little dance, then gets down onto her hands and knees to finish the forecast and crawl out of the shot. That's a PRO!

JUDGE SAYS ONLY ONE JACKSON AT A TIME
To keep things peaceful, the judge in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial is ruling that only one of the singer's siblings will be allowed in the courtroom at any given time, if mom Katherine is already there. They're suing concert promoter AEG, while the company is asking how hard the family tried to get Jackson help for his drug addiction.

Apparently it takes awhile. In Houston, Frances and Harold Gates have been married 51 years.. they're both in their 70s.. and they FINALLY both just went back to college to finish their degrees. So far they're both in the honor society for their top grades.

Even though she's starring in the TV series Nashville right now, actress Connie Britton says it's still possible there'll be a "Friday Night Lights" movie. She played one of the lead roles in the NBC series that ended its five-season run in 2011.

SMITHSONIAN CUTTING BUDGET BY 40 MILLION
The Smithsonian Institution is cutting its budget by about 40-million dollars... because of sequestration cuts. They're closing some of their museum galleries till September to make it happen.
