LOCAL KID INVENTS WAY TO KEEP BABIES FROM DYING IN HOT CARS
http://www.ezbabysaver.com
19 children in the US so far this year have died from being left in hot cars. It usually happens when a parent or caregiver forgets they have the baby in the back seat. Well, a local kid has come up with a solution, and he's giving it away for free.
11 year-old Meigs Magnet student Andrew Pelham calls it the EZ Baby Saver. He made it from rubber bands and duct tape, and says his family already uses it. It attaches to the headrest of your driver's seat, and to your car door, so when you open the door, you can't get out until you turn around to undo the babysaver, and when you do, you will see the baby in the back seat. Andrew has put the directions online so you can see how to make your own, and maybe save a child's life.
