WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TODAY'S AIR ALERT 
There's an ORANGE level Air Quality Alert today for a dangerous amount of ground-level ozone in the air. Ozone can irritate your lungs so you're advised to limit your strenuous activity outdoors.  Children are especially susceptible because their lungs are still developing and they breathe more for their body size compared to adults. www.itscleartome.org. This is the 15th alert of the 2012 ozone season, which ends in October.

BABY FOUND DEAD IN VAN IN DONELSON
Metro Police say a baby was found dead in a mini van in Donelson yesterday. Apparently the mom dropped off her three other kids at school, then went home, forgetting about the child. She discovered him when she went to the daycare to pick him up.. adn they told her the 5 month old hadn't been dropped off that day. She then ran back out to her mini-van and came BACK in with the baby, who had already died. The mom was so distraught she was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. 

ANOTHER ARREST IN SIKH SHOOTING
There's been another arrest in the murders at a Sikh temple. Police have arrested the former girlfriend of Wade Michael Page, Misty Cook, his ex girlfriend is a felon and prohibited from having a gun, but cops found one at her home in Milwaukee. There's no indication Cook was involved with the attack, but like Page, she's been involved in white supremacy.

OVERTON HIGH SCHOOL IN GREEN HILLS ON LOCKDOWN
Overton High School was placed on lockdown this morning after police responded to an attempted home invasion this morning in the Green Hills area. Several roads were also blocked off and drivers warned to be careful... with the suspect on the run. 

WOMAN FALLS FROM ZIP LINE AT WILLIAMSON CO. FAIR
Amanda Harden says her first time riding a zip line ... will be the last. A zip line is a metal line that's suspended high from two points, you clip on, and zip down from the high end to the low end.  Amanda Harden was suspended 10 feet in the air when the zip line at the Williamson County Fair BROKE, and she fell to the ground. Nothing's broken... and the zipline company says it's a manufacturing defect.
 
RANDY TRAVIS ARRESTED AGAIN FOR DUI
Country singer Randy Travis crashed his car last night in Texas and was arrested on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated...  He was also charged with "retaliation and obstruction" charge ... which is a felony. This is the singer's 2nd arrest this year.
 
4 DOZEN GET SICK AFTER ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC
State health officials are trying to find out what made 50 people sick at the annual St. Patrick's Irish picnic in McEwen. It's a 158-year tradition that brings in about 20,000 people annually. Some of the cases have tested positive for a strain of salmonella bacteria.. but they haven't figured out what was contaminated yet.  

TENNESSEE MOSQUE SET TO OPEN FRIDAY
The Islamic Center of Murfreesboro is opening on Friday after two years of legal wrangling and anti-Muslim sentiment that included vandalism. A member of the mosque's board and planning committee says they're thrilled. The first prayer service is set for 1 p.m. (2 p.m. ET), before the close of the holy month of Ramadan.

HEALTH: MAJORITY KNOW SUNSCREEN PROTECTS AGAINST SKIN CANER, FEW USE IT
A new poll found most women -- 76 percent -- say they know sunscreen can help prevent skin cancer, but only 13% say they use it.

'NUTTY PROFESSOR' COMPOSER MARVIN HAMLISCH DIES AT 68
Marvin Hamlisch, who composed the scores for dozens of movies and Broadway musicals, including most recently “The Nutty Professor” Musical in Nashville, has passed away in Los Angeles. He collapsed Monday after a brief illness.  He was supposed to fly to Nashville this week to see a showing of “The Nutty Professor.” Barbra Streisand  whose first million-selling single was "The Way We Were," said Tuesday. "He was a true musical genius."

FIRE STARTED FROM DRYING UNDERPANTS IN THE MICROWAVE
And here's your cautionary tale for the day.... lol...  Firefighters say after putting out an apartment fire in England.... they asked the resident what happened.... and he said... he was just trying to dry his socks and underpants in the microwave and they combusted. Firefighters said... Don't DO that! (The Guardian)

METRO POLICE SAY MORE LICENSE PLATES, TAGS BEING STOLEN 
Metro Police usually we see a smattering of license plates stolen... but this year they say they're seeing an increase. License plates and tags being taken off of cars, and the car owner not noticing until he or she gets pulled over.  A police spokesman says the economy may be partly to blame. It's harder to make a living being a crook these days, apparently. 

NON-PROFIT SUES ACCOUNTING FIRM FOR FAILING TO NOTICE EMBEZZLEMENT
A local accounting firm is being sued for not catching an account manager at a Nashville non-profit, as she stole 800-000 DOLLARS. This is WHILE the accounting firm was doing audits each year.

WIFE GETS PROTECTIVE ORDER AFTER COFFEE POISONED
A Doctor in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, is being accused of trying to poison his wife by putting something in her morning coffee. Liesa Hill says she'd been sick for several months... when she saw her husband .. Dr. Hal Hill.... put something in her coffee. She claims she had it tested, and it contained high levels of the toxic heavy metal barium.

POSSIBLE DA VINCI PAINTING FOUND IN SCOTTISH FARMHOUSE: COULD BE WORTH 150 MILLION
Fiona McLaren, 59, had kept an old painting in her Scottish farmhouse for decades. She reportedly didn't think much of the painting, which had been given to her as a gift by her father. But after she finally decided to have the painting appraised, found out it may be a 500-year-old painting by Leonardo da Vinci, worth more than $150 million."I showed it to him [auctioneer Harry Robertson] and he was staggered, speechless save for a sigh of exclamation," said Ms. McLaren.
