LATEST ON BOSTON BOMBINGS
69 victims remain hospitalized with injuries from Boston Marathon explosions; 24 of those are critical.

DOCTOR SAYS IT'S DIFFICULT TELLING PEOPLE THEY'LL NEED AMPUTATIONS
A doctor treating victims of the Boston bombings says it's tough to tell some of them they'll need amputation.  Dr. Peter Burke said there are five patients at Boston Medical Center who have needed to have their limbs removed.  Three people died in the blasts and more than 150 people were injured.

BOSTON BOMBS MAY HAVE BEEN IN PRESSURE COOKERS
The FBI says at least one of the bombs that killed 3 and wounded more than 170 people at the Boston Marathon were made in pressure cookers. The 1.6 gallon pots were filled with shards of metal, nails and ball bearings. 

RICIN LETTER CAME FROM MEMPHIS
And the letter sent to Republican Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker that tested positive for the poison ricin [[ rye-sin ]] was postmarked from Memphis, Tennessee. Officials say the suspect is a person who frequently writes to members of congress. The letter was intercepted at a mail facility in Maryland before it could reach Wicker's office.

AMERICAN AIRLINES FIXES COMPUTERS BUT DELAYS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
American Airlines says to expect more flight delays and cancellations today. The airline's computer systems went down, and since they do everything online: track passengers and bags, monitor who's boarded the plane, update flight schedules and file flight plans, they were as stranded as their passengers. That caused cascading delays and cancelations nationwide. They're back up today, but still catching up.

NASHVILLE HIT WITH CREDIT CARD SCAM
Two Nashville businesses were hit with a credit card scam that nearly lost them a 20 thousand dollar vehicle and 9000 dollars worth of electronics. the Better Business Bureau says business owners should be aware that the credit card scam goes like this: someone wants to make a major purchase, but their card is declined. They ask you to call the 800 number on the back... but it's a fake card, and the 800 number goes to the thief's accomplice. By the time you figure it out, the crooks are gone with the merchandise. The BBB says you should check it's website before you do business with anyone you're not sure about.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY SCHOOLS CHANGES END OF SCHOOL DATE
You know how we had a nearly snowless winter? Well that's going to affect the last day of school .... for at least Williamson County kids. They didn't need to use any snow days, so the school board has agreed to use those weather days for teacher training, and let the kids out two days earlier. That means the end of school for Williamson will now be May 21st instead of May 23rd.

LATE FILERS ANGRY ROYAL PARKWAY POST OFFICE NOT OPEN LATE
For years the post office on Royal Parkway stayed open until midnight so people who waited till the last minute to file their federal income taxes could get their returns postmarked by midnight. This year, because most people file electronically, the Royal Parkway post office closed at 9 (its regular posted hours) and a few dozen people showed up after that, expecting to find them open. Their returns will, officially, be a day late.

NASHVILLE BUSINESSES CAUGHT ON CAMERA SERVING UNDERAGE CUSTOMERS
So where does your teenager go to buy booze? More than a dozen Nashville businesses were caught on video selling alcohol to underage buyers. You're supposed to be 21 to legally buy booze, but of 14 businesses police checked, half were selling to minors. That could mean jail time, losing their licenses, and thousands of dollars in fines for the business owners who let that happen. That's why those who are obeying the law will ask you for your i.d. no matter how old you think you look.

NON-PARTISAN THINK-TANK SAYS U.S. INDISPUTABLY TORTURING PEOPLE
The Constitution Project, which describes itself as a group of policy experts and legal practitioners from a wide political spectrum, has put out a new report that concludes it's indisputable that the United States has been torturing people since 9-11. They came to the conclusion after reviewing ways in which prisoners were held and interrogated at Guantanamo Bay, Afghanistan, Iraq and at secret CIA "black prisons."

WISCONSIN MOM CHARGED AFTER KIDS DIE IN FIRE
A Wisconsin mother is facing charges after her three young children were killed in a fire.  Police say 24-year-old Angelica Belen admits she locked her kids in a bedroom the evening of April 11th so she could go to work.  The victims, a five-year-old girl and four-year-old twin boys, were found huddled together in the bedroom after an electrical fire broke out.

Look at what Facebook has turned up! A guy whose first wife found out he had a second wife. She learned about his bigamy when Facebook popped up a "People you may Know" suggestion.

And talk about easing the pain of leaving! A British man was leaving his job at the airport to start his own bakery, so he wrote his resignation letter on a cake, and gave that to his boss.

More people are concerned these days about buying a home than buying into marriage. A new real estate survey finds close to a quarter of now-married homeowners under age 35 bought a home together before tying the knot.
