LOCAL 2-YEAR-OLD EJECTED DURING CRASH IS RECOVERING
The little two-year-old boy who was ejected during a crash in Rutherford County in February is still recovering from his injuries, and his family says he's finally given them his first smile after the horriffic crash. Mason was in his car seat Feb 24th when the family vehicle was rear-ended, a jagged piece of metal slashed the seatbelt holding Mason in place, and he was thrown at least 30 feet. He's recovering from severe head and neck injuries, but has finally been transferred out of the intensive care unit at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville... to a rehab center. His family is calling the 2 year old Miracle Mason.

Just telling you now in case you got all excited about the spring weather and thew the mittens in the back seat and started putting out plants! 

PRESCHOOLERS SMARTER THAN ADULTS ABOUT GADGETS
The researchers found that because children are more flexible and less biased than adults when it comes to concepts such as cause and effect, they were quicker in learning to use new devices.  They don't have preconceived ideas about how something else worked, like adults often do: "Usually, it's the blue button for camera," they just basically try everything. 

MISSING PLANE
We're going into day four of the mystery of the Missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner. And investigators still have no idea what happened, and no real idea where flight 370 might be. Search teams still don't even know, really, whether they should be saerching land or water, so they're doing both.

ADAMS TO BE FORMALLY CHARGED WITH MURDER OF HOLLY BOBO TODAY
The man accused of kidnapping and killing Holly Bobo is expected to be formally charged today.  Zachary Adams was taken into custody last eek after the state Bureau of Investigation searched his house and property, but investigators haven't released the evidence against him.  The 20-year-old Bobo was last seen in April 2011 when her brother told police he saw a man in hunting clothes leading the nursing student into the woods near their home.

HENDERSONVILLE WOMAN PARALYZED IN TORNADO ON NATIONAL TV TODAY
Amy Hawkins of Hendersonville, who was paralyzed when a tornado destroyed her home in 2006, will be on the TV show “The Doctors” today.
She was paralyzed from the waist down when debris fell on her as she shielded her children during the tornado.
You may remember that “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” later built the family a new home that was more user-friendly. The Doctors are on News2, starting at 2. 

BILL WOULD PLACE WARNING LABEL ON ALL TENN LOTTERY ADS
Would it stop you from playing the lottery if you knew you might lose? Well some of our lawmakers are working on a possible warning label to remind you.
A bill that'll be heard tomorrow by a Senate sub-committee would require a warning label on all Tennessee Lottery advertisements, including the line: "Warning:You will probably lose money playing the lottery."  The warning would have to be on all billboards advertising the lottery and be announced at the end of television and radioads. Tennessee would be the first state to pass a bill of this kind.

UKRAINE AID BILL BEING PREPPED
An aid bill for Ukraine is being worked on in the Senate. Last week, the House approved a billion dollars in loan guarantees for Ukraine.  The Senate legislation includes the loan guarantee, plus more aid, AND, sanctions against Russia for deploying troops into Ukraine's Crimean [[ cry-ME-ann ]] region.  

FORMER NASHVILLE FIREFIGHTER BREAKS INTO FIRE HALL
Former Nashville firefighter Randall Soulliere has been arrested, for that break-in at a Nashville fire station early yesterday morning. Soulliere had resigned last week, after being arrested for cocaine possession. Witnesses say yesterday he was trying to steal the flat screen TV from the station while the firefighters were out on a call, but dropped it and ran when they got back and saw him there. He's been arrested again.

MNPS LIFTING BAN ON SOCIAL MEDIA IN CLASSROOM
Metro Nashville Public Schools is lifting its ban on social media in the classroom. That means your kids in high school will be allowed access to Twitter and YouTube, but sites such as Facebook and Instagram will still be blocked. Middle school and elementary students will eventually have the same access.

JUDGE RULES SURVEILLANCE RECORDS CAN NOT BE DESTROYED
A federal judge in San Francisco is blocking the Obama administration from destroying millions of records of National Security Agency telephone surveillance.  They may be needed as evidence, in at least six invasion of privacy lawsuits that are underway.

FOUR PEOPLE STRUCK BY CAR IN NASHVILLE
Four people were hit by a car in downtown Nashville early this morning. Just before 3am, the four were apparently crossing Broadway, near 4th Avenue North and were all hit. They were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges are not expected against the driver, a musician who performed downtown overnight Monday. Police stated he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

KIA ELECTRIC CAR
South Korean automaker KIA has announced it's rolling out an electric version of its Soul Compact...  and KIA's parent company, Hyundai, says it'll launch its first electric vehicle 2016. 

COLORADO COLLECTS TWO MILLION IN TAXES ON LEGALIZED POT, IN ONE MONTH 
Okay, let's get ahead of this, and decide now what we wanna do with our pot money if we legalize marijuana! In Colorado, the Department of Revenue says the state pulled in about two-million dollars in marijuana taxes in January. 

FORMER SWAT SUPERVISOR SAYS HE WAS FIRED FOR REPORTING OFFICER WHO DISTURBED WHITNEY HOUSTON BODY
A former police SWAT team supervisor says another officer gawked at Whitney Houston's body, and he was demoted for reporting it.  The officer filed suit Monday against Beverly Hills and the city's police department.  He claims another officer disturbed the scene of the pop star's death by lifting a sheet that covered her body and commenting on it. 

NASA ASTRONAUT BACK ON EARTH AFTER SIX MONTHS IN SPACE STATION
NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins is back safely on Earth after spending six months on the International Space Station.  The Soyuz [[ SOY-yooz ]] capsule carrying Hopkins and two Russian cosmonauts touched down early Tuesday in Kazakhstan.

THE BACHELOR, STAYING SINGLE
Juan Pablo Galavis is opting to stay a bachelor.  On Monday's "Bachelor" finale, he gave his final rose to Nikki, but didn't get down on one knee.  Juan Pablo explained he wasn't 100-percent sure, but still wanted to continue his relationship with her.
