Public schools are serious about immunizations, sending students home in Rutherford County yesterday who could not provide proof of shots. Immunizations are provided at all county healthy departments.

Guns In Carry-On Luggage At Nashville Airport
Two guns were confiscated late yesterday afternoon from carry-on luggage at the Nashville airport. Both individuals were cited on a local charge. Passengers are reminded to check carry-on luggage thoroughly before going through security. Guns may be carried in checked luggage, but are prohibited in carry-ons.

Sad news for Cactus Moser , husband of Wynonna Judd. His leg was severed in a motorcycle accident this wknd, and surgery was also done on his hand.

She got her start while a 37 year old housewife...in stand-up, a career in where there were very few women. Now Phyllis Diller and her beloved will be reunited - Phyllis Diller R.I.P. at 95. Nashville Songwriters Honored

Fort Campbell Museum Scopes Three Year Plan
The Fort Campbell Historical Foundation Museum plans have been scaled back in hopes of securing funding. Director Robert Nichols said "We have got to bridge the gap between the military and this community so the citizens have an understanding of the sacrifice of the soldiers of Ft. Campbell."
This month marks the 60th Anniversary of Holiday Inn, that opened its flagship in Memphis in 1952. Holiday inn was the first to standardize rooms, feature ice machines, a kids stay free policy, and the ideal that "the best surprise is no surprise".

A Safer TN Walking Horse Celebration
The TN Walking Horse Celebration starts this wk in Shelbyville. The board of directors announced the changes that will, for the first time, make the results of chemical tests public and result in trainers immediately losing their trophies and prize money if caught abusing horses. "I want it to be completely gone," said Dr. Doyle Meadows, CEO of the Celebration. "If something has been done to the horse, then it's not fair. It's cheating."
