OBAMAS HONOR LEGACY OF LATE PRESIDENT JOHN F KENNEDY
The President and First Lady took part in services to honor the late President John F. Kennedy, yesterday. The Obamas visited the Kennedy gravesite, then at last night's Medal of Freedom dinner in Washington, DC, President Obama said Kennedy stays with us "not because he left too soon, but because he embodied the character" of the American people.  Tomorrow marks the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination. He was elected president in 1961, and was assassinated November 22nd, 1963.

Make sure you stock up on hand sanitizer, and load up on lotion to put on your hands after the frequent handwashing you're about to have to do to stay healthy. The winter illnesses are already getting started! People coming in sick to work, and spreadin' it around. Experts say this is a hard time of year for employers, too... since many are pared down to basically skeleton crews, and when one person calls in sick, it's BEST to MAKE them stay home, but they're often allowed to come in, because they need the money and the employers need the warm body in that seat.

News 2 meteorologist Davis Nolan says there's another cold front headed in that'll give us daytime highs on Saturday in the low 40s at most, and the high temperature on Sunday could be as cold as the upper 30s. The HIGH temperatures! 

STATE INSURANCE COMMISISONERS SPEAK ABOUT OBAMA'S PLAN TO FIX HEALTH CARE
State insurance commissioners are uncertain about President Obama's plan to fix the problem of insurance cancellations under the new healthcare law.  Obama met with representatives from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners who said if they let people keep existing plans, but made them meet Healthcare law requirements, they may have to raise premiums.

HOMELESS VET SEEN IN MAKEOVER VIDEO GETS ARRESTED
A homeless U.S. Army vet who became a viral sensation in a makeover video, has been arrested. 54 year old James Wolf has had a history of mental illness, alcoholism and substance abuse, and has been arrested more than 80 times, so a makeover was nice, but it didn't change the problems that put him on the streets in the first place. Nashville has several programs to help people experiencing homelessness get past the problems that contributed to their situation, get them into a home, and connected to a support group to help them stay off the streets. NON-PROFIT WANTED TO RUN STATE FAIR
If you're a non-profit with great organizational skills, the Exposition Commission is looking for you. They're taking proposals until December 13th, from non-profits who want to run the Tennessee State Fair.
The winning organization will be responsible for planning, operating and managing the annual event.

What are you giving the little girl in your life for Christmas? There's a new video that's gone viral, and reminds us that some girls are not dreaming of tea sets, ponies and baby dolls.
"We're more than princess maids!" That's out from a new toy company that encourages girls to be builders if they want to, not just princesses.

PILOT LISTED TAYLOR SWIFT AS NEXT OF KIN
Some weird information has been released about that crash of a small plane at the Nashville International Airport recently. Turns out the pilot, Michael Callan, listed Taylor Swift as his next-of-kin. Taylor says she's never heard of him. Investigators are also trying to figure out how Callan flew undetected over an international border, why he turned off his transponder, then circled the Nashville airport for several hours before trying to land.

REVEREND BILLY GRAHAM RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL
The Reverend Billy Graham could be out of the hospital soon. The 95-year-old has been having respiratory problems again. 

GIANT CARGO PLANE LANDED AT WRONG AIRPORT, CAN'T LEAVE
Officials are trying to figure out what in the WORLD to do with a giant cargo plane ... that landed at the wrong airport and now can't take off. The 747 was supposed to land at McConnell Air Force Base, 12 miles away, but put down at a small Wichita, Kansas airport instead. The massive plane needs a 92-hundred-foot-long runway to take off, but the runway at the airport, where it landed, is only 61-hundred feet long. 

FAA WILL START TESTING PILOTS FOR SLEEP APNEA
The Federal Aviation Administration is taking steps to make sure overweight pilots and air traffic controllers don't fall asleep on the job.  Under new guidelines, they will soon need to be screened for obstructive sleep apnea -- a condition which can lead to daytime sleepiness and jeopardize the safety of passengers.

FIRE DAMAGES BOUND'RY
Popular midtown restaurant The Bound'ry has been damaged in a fire. The fire apparently started in a chimney on the third floor, but it was put out quickly and no injuries were reported.

STREET PARTIES THURS AND TOMORROW NIGHT, DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
Tonight and tomorrow night (Thurs and Friday) there are supposed to be big treet parties set for lower Broad to celebrate what’s being called George Jones Week. The parties are pre-events to tomorrow (Fri.) night’s more than 120-artist mega-concert at Bridgestone Arena. It’s the one that was supposed to have been George's final concert before he retired.
It's sold out, but Nancy Jones announced that it will be broadcast on a video screen outside Bridgestone.  

JUSTIN BIEBER TICKET SALES DROP IN AUSTRALIA
It looks like Justin Bieber's nonsense is catching up to him. He starts his Australia tour next week, and after all his recent bad press, tickets are not selling well. They're going for less than HALF of what they sold for last year. (Ticket seller Alex Levenson says he blames the drop on Bieber's, quote, "very good impression of a terrible infant.")

Another Bush is trying getting into politics. George P. Bush ... son of Jeb, nephew of George W, is running for Texas Land Commissioner.  .

And what do you get when you mix Thor and Fast and Furious? A BABY. "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa, From Fast and Furious 6, are expecting their second child. Their first is 18 months old.

U.S. HAS REACHED AGREEMENT WITH AFGHAN
Secretary of State John Kerry says the U.S. has reached agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai that would allow for a continued U.S.role in Afghanistan. It's a very limited role that does not include combat forces.  The deal has to be approved by an Afghan council of elders.

ADAM LEVINE PEOPLE'S SEXIEST MAN ALIVE
Adam Levine has been named People magazine's 2013 "Sexiest Man Alive." The 34-year-old Maroon 5 frontman got the news live during NBC's "The Voice" Tuesday night. One of the show's other coaches, Blake Shelton, quipped, "I want you to know that I think you're beautiful for what's on the inside." They then hugged it out.
 
FAMILY GUY CAST GETS RAISES.
Big raises for the main voices on "Family Guy." Each will start getting anywhere from $150,000 to $250,000 per episode in a deal that could keep the series going for as long as five more years.
 
CANCELATIONS, REPLACEMENTS ON ABC
ABC has cancelled the drama "Betrayal," and added five new series to its prime-time lineup. The new romantic comedy "Mixology" will take the spot airing directly after "Modern Family." Other shows joining the lineup include the return of cooking show "The Taste," and "Killer Women."

CLOONEY AND MCGRAW IN A BAR IN FLORIDA
So George Clooney and Tim McGraw walk into a bar. No. That's it. They walked into a bar in Orlando, Florida, sat around and chatted for awhile, as tourists walked past, doing double takes. The two super-celebrities were hanging out and visiting after wrapping their latest film, shot at NASA, nearby.  Not out till 2015.
