MORE LOCAL POLICE IMPOSTERS. YELLOW CAMARO DRIVERS STILL FREE
There've been more crooks impersonating police and robbing people, including a couple of incidents just this week. One off of Brick Church Pike where two men and a woman were getting out of their vehicle, and a car pulled up behind theirs with the brights on and men who started shouting, "Police. This is the police!" The woman in the car ran, the thieves made the two guys strip to their underwear, and robbed them. Two of those suspects were caught a short time later.
And in East Nashville, men posing as police officers knocked on a door, but never got inside the home. They took off in a white Suburban.
By the way, those guys driving the yellow Camaro, using a blue light to pull people over and assault and rob them, are still on the loose.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE NOT SURE IT'S A COP BEHIND YOU
Police say if you are pulled over by someone who's not in a police car and you're not sure if they're legit, keep your doors locked and windows up and call 9-1-1. If it's NOT a real cop, they'll send help. If it is, you're on your own.

CALL 9-1-1 FOR A NON-EMERGENCY AND YOU CAN END UP IN JAIL
If you don't stop calling 9-1-1 for non-emergencies, we're gonna have to keep seeing and hearing those cheesy ads about what is and what is NOT an emergency.
Nashville police say people are still dialing 9-1-1 for stupid reasons, including one guy who needed a ride, and his wasn't getting there fast enough.
But, you need to know that police will put you in jail for it!
In just the past couple of years, 56 people have been arrested for calling 9-1-1 unnecessarily. And, no surprise, most of them were drunk. The non-emergency number for Metro Davidson County police is 615-862-8600.

MOM THROWS HERSELF UNDER RUNAWAY CAR TO KEEP IT FROM TRAFFIC
So a 22 year old mom made the mistake of leaving her twin two year olds in the van, and getting out of the vehicle. Then Mindy Tran turns around and sees the car rolling backwards down the driveway toward traffic, with the babies inside. She had to act fast, so she threw herself down behind the Honda Accord. She said,”I had to use myself as a speed bump!" It worked. The car slowed enough that a neighbor was able to hop inside and hit the brake. Mom Mindy ended up with a broken leg and dislocated shoulder and hip, but she’ll recover. Her 2 year olds are fine. (This tops the ‘how-long-I-was-in-labor guilt stories by a mile!)
