MORE STAY-AT-HOME MOMS
The Pew Research Center has found the number of stay-at-home moms have increased in the last 15 years with 29 percent of moms currently staying at home with their kids. Researchers found that the typical stay-at-home mom is younger, less educated, and less financially set than her peers. Given the high cost of child care and the struggle to find a well-paying job, it may make financial sense for women to take care of their children themselves.

16 AND PREGNANT
When the MTV reality shows "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom" premiered, nay-sayers were convinced the shows would glamourize teen pregnancy and make every high schooler want to have a toddler. Well, a study conducted by a couple of New England researchers has found that the opposite has happened. Among teens who watched the shows, there was a 6% reduction in teen births. Once they saw how much work and stress was involved, they were like-nope, not for me.
