TITAN PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE
The Titans announced their preseason schedule yesterday. It opens at home agaisnst Green Bay the weekend of Aug. 7th. Then they hit the road for back-to-back games against the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. The Titans' final preseason game will be at home against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, Aug. 28.
MORE ALLEGRY MEDS?
Gov. Haslam's anti-meth legislation has been watered down and approved by the House, The governor's version would have allowed just a ten-day maximum dose of allergy and cold medicines like Sudafed before requiring a prescription. The House version would set the yearly limit at 150 day's worth of the medicines.
SAVED FROM SINKHOLE
The last of the eight classic cars swallowed by the sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky was pulled from the abyss yesterday. Each of the classic Corvettes, or what's left of them, will be on display through August before being shipped off to GM for repairs.
MORE STAY-AT-HOME MOMS
The Pew Research Center has found the number of stay-at-home moms have increased in the last 15 years with 29 percent of moms currently staying at home with their kids. Researchers found that the typical stay-at-home mom is younger, less educated, and less financially set than her peers. Given the high cost of child care and the struggle to find a well-paying job, it may make financial sense for women to take care of their children themselves.
16 AND PREGNANT
When the MTV reality shows "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom" premiered, nay-sayers were convinced the shows would glamourize teen pregnancy and make every high schooler want to have a toddler. Well, a study conducted by a couple of New England researchers has found that the opposite has happened. Among teens who watched the shows, there was a 6% reduction in teen births. Once they saw how much work and stress was involved, they were like-nope, not for me.
THERE'S MY WALLET
Onlookers watched a man trying to break down the door of Wanna B's karaoke bar on Broadway. The man told cops he realized he'd left his jacket and wallet in the club, spotted them through the windown, and was trying to retrieve them. He proceeded to get himself stuk on the glass. Cops say he'll be charged with felonly vandalism and public intoxication.

Bobby Denton, who worked as Knee-land Stadium's public address announcer for nearly half a century, has died. He was 73. Denton had been Tennessee's public address announcer since 1967. University of Tennessee officials said he had the longest tenure of any college football public address announcer in the nation.
BILLY JOEL GOES TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECITAL
A Long Island elementary school invited singer Billy Joel to watch students perform a tribute concert, they didn't expect the Piano Man to actually show up. But about five minutes before last night's program, Joel pulled up to Deasy Elementary School in Glen Cove, N.Y., on his motorcycle and took a seat in the audience for the "River of Dreams" concert featuring kindergarteners, first graders and second graders. Too cool!
R&R HALL OF FAME CEREMONY
Tonight is the inductyion ceremony for the 29th annual for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and the event is open to the public. Inductees include Kiss, Nirvana, Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel, and Cat Stevens.
