The personal information of about 6,300 Metro School teachers was apparently stolen by a Tennessee Department of Treasury employee, though state officials think he was caught before he could use it for anything or sell it to anyone. Officials say last Thursday 24 year old Steven Hunter emailed from work to a personal address, a file containing the social security numbers, full names, home addresses and dates of birth of 63 hundred teachers... then quit his job.
