POPULAR NASHVILLE RADIO DJ DIES
Long time Nashville radio DJ David Hall passed away over the weekend. Hall worked at several rock stations including hosting a weekday afternoon show called "David Hall Rocks Y'all." The cause of death wasn't officially reported as of last night. Hall was 57.

SUPERBOWL WINNERS
The New York Giants are Super Bowl champs this year. They beat the New England Patriots 21-17 to win Super Bowl 46.

And while there were no wardrobe malfunctions this year, there was an incident at the Superbowl: the singer known as M.I.A. made an obscene gesture with her finger, at the camera, while she was singing.. and the censors didn't catch it in time to cover it.

POLL FINDS MOST LIKED MADONNA'S HALFTIME PERFORMANCE
And Madonna is getting positive reviews from the public for her Super Bowl 46 halftime show. Nearly three-quarters of the respondents in an ongoing AccessHollywood.com poll say they "loved it," while just 28-percent "hated it."

POWERBALL JACKPOT UP TO A QUARTER BILLION DOLLARS
No winner in Saturday night's Powerball lottery drawing, so the Powerball jackpot is up to 250 MILLION dollars. The next drawing is Wednesday night.

Today's the deadline to register to vote if you want to have a say in the Presidential Primary. You can get the Voter Registration Form online, or register in person at a County Clerk's Office, health department, DMV, VA, or public library.

LOCAL STUDENTS RAISE MONEY FOR GRIEVING FAMILY
Students from three local schools are helping a family whose teenage son was recently killed on the side of Tusculum road. Investigators think Kevin Bautista was killed by a drunk driver while walking with two friends. Students from Cain Ridge, Antioch High and Thurgood Marshall Middle washed hundreds of cars to help the grieving family pay bills.

ONLINE DATING SECOND-BEST WAY TO MEET SOMEONE
Online dating has become a very popular way to meet a new dating partner. It's second only to meeting through friends as a potential way to meet a mate. Study co-author Harry Reis of the Univeristy of Rochester says, "The Internet holds great promise for helping adults form healthy and supportive romantic partnerships."

TN LAWMAKERS OPPOSE LARGER CLASS SIZES
An education proposal from Governor Haslam is meeting skepticism from state lawmakers. Legislators are worried a move to eliminate requirements for average classroom sizes will lead to larger classrooms and negatively impact student performance.Haslam also wants to eliminate the state salary schedule and give local school systems authority to set up pay structures based on student test scores and teacher evaluations.

HEALTH; STILL POISONING OUR KIDS WITH SECOND HAND SMOKE
A new study by the CDC finds FEWER children and teens are exposed to second hand smoke while riding in cars, so we're doing a LITTLE better at not poisoning the kids... however nearly a THIRD of them still say they've been in a car with someone who's smoking, within the past week. The study authors say state and local governments should ban smoking when kids and teens are in the car.

HEALTH: LINK BETWEEN LOW SUNLIGHT AND STROKES
Experts say they've identified a link between low levels of sunlight and strokes, with people who live in areas with the least amount of sunlight having a higher risk of suffering a stroke. That also seems to indicate if you get more sunlight you could lower your risk. (The findings were presented earlier this week at the American Stroke Association's International Stroke Conference in New Orleans. )

GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SALES GO HIGH TECH
At least one organization has figured out they have to stay up with the times: some Girl Scouts are now carrying mobile credit card scanners with them, so you can buy cookies even if you're not carrying cash.

DEMI IN THE MOUNTAINS TO GET WELL
Demi Moore has reportedly gone to the mountains to get help with her current health issues. Sources tell E! News that the actress has checked into the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah. Moore was hospitalized on January 23rd after she suffered seizure-like symptoms at her Los Angeles-area home.

BILLY RAY CYRUS TO WRITE MEMOIRBilly Ray Cyrus has signed on to write a book for Amazon. The "Achy Breaky Heart" singer and father of Miley Cyrus will pen a memoir entitled "Hillbilly Heart" expected in the spring of next year. Amazon.com's publishing representatives say he will candidly discuss his life from the early years of his career to life as the parent of a teen superstar.

AIR GUARD ELIMINATES CARGO PLANES
Tennessee's Air National Guard is making a few changes. One is they're getting rid of six C-130 cargo planes. They're also expected to add new intelligence and unmanned vehicle squadrons. The C-130s are heading to Puerto Rico to replace other planes that are being retired.

KEITH URBAN MAKES PERFORMANCE RETURN AT OPRY
Keith Urban appears to be fine following throat surgery last fall. The singer was on the Grand Ole Opry Friday night, giving his first performance since having a polyp removed from his vocal cords back in November. Nashville's "Tennessean" says Urban sang four songs on the show. After starting with his current hit, "Long Hot Summer," Keith demonstrated just how strong his voice is these days, singing "Making Memories of Us" to the crowd at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium without the assistance of a microphone. Urban then performed the songs "You Gonna Fly" and "Somebody Like You." Afterwards, once he was backstage, Keith explained his decision to step away from the mic, saying it was "something that just felt really right, music in its purest form, the same as if you were around the campfire." He added that hearing the audience sing along with him is "sort of a euphoric thing," because "it's not me and them, it's us."

JOAN RIVERS REVEALS NUMBER OF SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Wanna guess how many surgical procedures Joan Rivers has had? Go ahead. Guess. More than 100? More than 200?! Nope. Over the weekend. She revealed that she has had 739 Surgical Procedures in her lifetime. She is 78 years old. That's almost 20 procedures per year, if you factor in every year of her life.
