ROBIN ROBERTS UPDATE
Here's an update on what's going on with Robin Roberts of "Good Morning America." She's finished her chemotherapy, and yesterday (Thursday, September 20th, 20120), had her bone marrow transplant. She sent a video message taped from her New York hospital bed to her fans and supporters, telling them "thank you" and saying that she feels the love. See ROBIN'S VIDEO MESSAGE
FREE DENTAL WORK OFFERED TO 125 PEOPLE TODAY
There's a local dental group that's playing Good Samaritan, and offering free dental work to the first 125 people at their office today. The dentist is Dr David Roach, with Dentistry from the Heart, on Bedford Avenue. (Free extractions, fillings or cleanings to the first 125 people. GALLATIN WOMAN SAVES CHILDREN FROM BURNING HOME
There's a woman in Gallatin whose neighbors think is an absolute ANGEL. Sherry Binkley saved the lives of her neighbors' babies. Sherry saw her neighbors' home on fire, ran to help, and the parents were outside, frantic, because they hadn't been able to find their two 3-year-olds in the smoke and flames. Sherry says God told her to go to the side of the house. She heard the toddlers crying for their mommy, broke a window and screamed, "Come to me!" Sherry says she can't describe the joy she felt when she saw those two tiny faces appear out of the smoke. The home is a loss, dad was burned looking for the kids, but the babies are going to be just fine. Sherry Binkley, everybody needs neighbors like you!
MICHAEL J FOX TALKS ABOUT HIS NEW SHOW, STARTING NEXT FALL
When we heard that Michael J Fox had Parkinson's disease it broke our hearts. He was a very popular actor, had a hit show called Spin City and he was only 37. Since then he's done only a few guest appearances on other shows, but now, he's working on his OWN TV series, based on his life: about a man with Parkinson's and with kids. Ellen DeGeneres asked Michael recently about his own parenting methods. You can see that short interview HERE

MURFREESBORO PASTOR ACCUSED OF LAUNDERING MONEY
A Middle Tennessee pastor is facing federal drug and money-laundering charges. Police say Michael Whitsey, the leader of the Abundant Life Church in Murfreesboro, made $375,000 through the sale of narcotics and then deposited the money in various accounts between May and December of 2008. Whitsey has not been arrested for the charges yet.

HEALTH: BPA CAUSING OBESITY
New research suggests that the chemical known as BPA that's found in many plastic bottles and cans, could be making children obese. (Researchers say they found kids with the most of the estrogen-like chemical were twice as likely to be obese.
MANY DONATED KIDNEYS DISCARDED
Some surgeons are speaking out about the thousands of donated kidneys that are thrown AWAY every year. Some are unhealthy, but others aren't matched right, and are wasted, and the surgeons want the national organ registry to get faster at matching donors with recipients.
KROGER TESTING SELLING CLOTHING
Your life is probably busier than ever! So Kroger is trying out one-stop shopping, by adding a clothing department to a store in Ohio. If it works, it'll spread to our local stores. You can already buy lawn furniture, small appliances and lawn and garden stuff. It's the first time in Kroger's 129-year history that it has offered a dedicated apparel section.
MURFREESBORO DOCTOR SUING NASHVILLE BAR FOR ASSAULT
A Murfreesboro doctor says he was nearly choked to death by two bouncers at Rippy's Bar and Grill... and is suing the Nashville bar for four-point-five-million-dollars. Rippy's side of the story is that Dr Donald Mitchell was overly aggressive and started fighting when he was asked to leave.

SPANISH WOMAN WANTS ROYALTIES FOR BOTCHED RESTORATION
The Spanish woman who many people say ruined a 19th-century picture of Jesus is now asking to be paid. The horrible restoration has become so famous -- because it's SO awful -- (see above) that people are flocking to the church to see it. The church has started charging admission, and Cecillia Gimenez says she helped that happen and she wants her share. (The painting is at The Sanctuary of Mercy Church in Borja).
