DRIVERS RESCUE FELLOW DRIVER ON VIETNAM VETERANS BLVD THURSDAY
While thousands of drivers were stuck in that traffic jam on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard yesterday morning, here's what was happening up ahead. There were drivers working together to help pull a man out of his overturned SUV near Conference Drive.
Police say 45 year old Gerald Freeman's tire blew and his vehicle rolled. Casey Jennings and several other drivers, including two nurses who saw the crash, helped roll the SUV over, and pull Freeman out through the sunroof. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

WITNESS SAVES WOMAN FROM SEXUAL ASSAULT IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
A person who reportedly witnessed a woman being sexually assaulted in downtown Nashville is being credited with rescuing her from her attacker.
According to an affidavit, the woman hailed police in the 1100 block of Broadway early Thursday morning after the alleged assault.

AFTER SINKHOLE AT CORVETTE MUSEUM, ATTENDANCE SKYROCKETS
For years, just enough classic car lovers and curious travelers wandered through the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky to keep the doors open. Now, after a massive sinkhole swallowed eight pristine models of vintage muscle, attendance has skyrocketed.
And visitors are as eager to peer into the chasm as they are to see the 'Vettes, if not more so.
Since reopening after a one-day closure, attendance is up nearly 50 percent from the same period a year ago. Sign-ups for museum memberships are rising fast. And the merchandising has started, with sinkhole-related shirts, postcards and prints.

U.S. IN IRAQ?
America spent time, money and lives in Iraq. Now that we've pulled out, it's all falling apart. Although President Obama said yesterday that all options are being considered to help Iraq fight extremists who are taking over --including airstrikes -- the White House spokesman says we are not planning to send ground forces back in. 

BOWE BERGHDAHL BACK ON U.S. SOIL
Former prisoner of war Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl is back on American soil. He's at a military hospital in Texas after being released from Afghan Taliban forces the end of May. 

TRACY MORGAN SHOWING SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT
Tracy Morgan is showing signs of improvement.  A rep for the "30 Rock" actor says Morgan's recovery is "progressing" after a deadly car accident that left his friend and comedy mentor James McNair dead and three others injured.  A statement says that Morgan remains in "critical but stable condition."

VIDEO GAMES BIGGER THAN HOLLYWOOD
The video gaming industry is bigger than Hollywood.  The latest figures show video gaming generated 70-billion dollars in revenue in 2013.  That's more money than the movie industry made.  Video games are no longer the province of teenage boys.  "Forbes" reports the average gamer is 30-years-old, and 45-percent are women.

TV: Fox has cancelled the TV series "I Wanna Marry Harry."  It'll be pulled from the lineup, effective next week

Remember how Former President George H.W. Bush celebrated his 80th birthday... skydiving. And his 85th birthday? Skydiving. Guess how he celebrated his 90TH birthday? SKYDIVING!!

TEXAS LAKEHOUSE ABOUT TO SLIDE OFF CLIFF WILL BE BURNED
The owners of that Texas house that's about to slide down a cliff, say they're going to have to just burn the home, before the cliff erodes more and the house falls, possibly hurting someone. The lake house is worth close to a million dollars. The owners say that was a big part of their nest egg; something they had hoped to leave to the kids. The ground underneath the home started shifting and eroding a couple of months ago, and if it's just lef tlike that, it'll fall.

LOCAL: DRIVER FINED $500 IN HUME-FOGG STUDENT DEATH
The truck driver accused of hitting and killing a Hume-Fogg student as she crossed the street at Church and Rosa L Parks earlier this year.. WILL be allowed to keep his license. Elena  Zamora was killed when Troy Devitt hit her. He plead guilty yesterday of failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian, and has been sentenced to pay a 500-dollar fine.  

BAND PERRY LEADER GETS MARRIED
The leader of The Band Perry is married. Kimberly Perry just married her longtime boyfriend yesterday in Greeneville, Tennessee. Congratulations!

KEVIN COSTNER AND FANS CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY OF FIELD OF DREAMS
Thousands of people are flocking to Dyersville, Iowa for the 25th anniversary of the movie that put the town on the map: The Field of Dreams. Kevin Costner posted online that he's headed there, too.

Lots of things going on this weekend. The Great American Air Show in Smyrna, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, today is Friday the 13th, and Father's Day is Sunday.
