NEW YORK SHOOTINGS
It's just heartbreaking, that it's happened again.... another shooting with the 'us and them' mentality between police and civilians. Ismael Brinsley allegedly went around, telling people to follow him in Instagram, and saying, "Watch what I do"... before he ambushed and killed two New York City Police Officers on Saturday. His instagram posts included a photo of a handgun with the words, "They Take 1 Of Ours...Let's Take 2 of Theirs." He was estranged from his family,

NORTH KOREA THREATS AGAINST U.S.
North Korea is making threats against the United States after President Obama blamed that country for the recent hack of Sony's computer systems.  In a report on state-run media, North Korea is threatening "counteraction" against the U.S., specifically mentioning the White House, the Pentagon and the whole U.S. mainland.

President Obama isn't calling North Korea's hacking of Sony an "act of war," but he says it shows a need for change in dealing with new threats.
The President said the studio's decision to cancel the release of "The Interview" because it offended the nation's leader was a mistake.  Many theaters weren't going to show it, anyway, becuase of threats of terrorist attacks.  

STORMS, CLOUDS, FOG COULD IMPACT HOLIDAY TRAVEL
Heading home for the holidays may be easier said than done. A massive winter storm system that's bringing us rain, is ready to hammer other states with heavy rain, high winds and thunderstorms. If you're flying home for Christmas, it could affect YOUR plans, depending on what cities your flight goes through. Rain, Fog, poor visibility, can ground planes for hours, and could put you behind schedule. Just take your chargers, your devices, your books, and a snack and be ready for possible delays if you're headed out.

Tips include calling the airport while you wait, checking the website so you'll know - probably before the announcement that the flight's been changed or cancelled- and knowing your rights. WEST NASHVILLE STAPLES AFFECTED BY HACKERS
If you've shopped at the Staples store in West Nashville between August 10th and September 16th, using a credit or debit card, you need to keep an eye on your account for suspicious charges. Staples was hacked this summer, and is adding the West Nashville store to more than 100 others nationwide that were affected. The company says it'll offer free identity theft protection, insurance and credit reports to more than a million Staples customers affected.

BROKAW IN REMISSION
In February, legendary newscaster Tom Brokaw revealed that he had cancer and was going into treatment. Now, the 74-year-old NBC News special correspondent and former anchor of NBC Nightly News, announced that his cancer is in remission.

KRISTEN BELL AND DAX SHEPARD WELCOME SECOND DAUGHTER
Christmas has come early for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Their second daughter has been born. They named her Delta Bell Shepard. The first daughter was born in 2013, and named Lincoln Bell Shepard.

Rumors are that Johnny Depp is getting married this New Year's Eve... after the 51-year-old actor started sending out invitations to many of his closest friends, to come ring in 2015 with him and his fiancée Amber Heard on his private island in the Caribbean.

Real estate mogul Bill Freeman is joining the race to become Nashville's next mayor.  He announced his candidacy on Friday, to run against Megan Barry, Charles Robert Bone, David Fox, Jeremy Kane and Linda Rebrovick.  The Mayoral election will be next August. (August 6, 2015)

LONGTIME BROADCASTER TEDDY BART DEAD AT 78
Longtime Nashville broadcaster Teddy Bart passed away on Saturday.. he was 78. His career had included longtime jobs on both Nashville radio and TV.

KELLY CLARKSON CONCERT A HIT
There were some HUGE concerts in Nashville this weekend. The Miracle on Broadway, with Kelly Clarkson and Friends, was a fundraiser for local Nashville Charities.Thanks to Kelly and friends, local non-profits will get more than 400-thousand dollars. 

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE JOINED BY GARTH BROOKS FOR 'FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES"
And Justin Timberlake was also at the Bridgestone.. he was there on Friday... and among HIS friends, who came onstage and got the crowd singing along, was Garth Brooks.
Midway through the number, Timberlake paused to tell the audience, "Hold on, now something don't feel right, something don't feel right, Nashville."
"I mean if you're going to do this," he continued. "Garth?" And the crowd went wild as Garth stepped onstage.

MUHAMMED ALI PNEUMONIA
72-year-old boxing legend Muhammad Ali has been hospitalized with a mild case of pneumonia. His doctors say it was caught quickly, and expect him to recover. Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1984, three years after his retirement from boxing.

TENNESSEE ONE OF SPEEDIEST STATES FOR HOLIDAY MEALS
And although a Thanksgiving dinner can take a long time to prepare. What about Christmas? Do you go all-out?
Apparently most of us don't. Tennessee is one of the speediest states in the country for preparing Christmas dinner.
According to the Del Monte Holiday Meal Census, the average time spent preparing a holiday meal in Tennessee is four-point-nine hours.  The speediest state is Kansas, where cooks spend three-point-six-hours on their meals.

Officials have made arrests in Pakistan in connection with that school massacre Tuesday. Three men and a woman were taken into custody after police tracked the SIM card used used by the terrorists at the time of the murders.
