CALIF WOMAN SUES TARGET STORES FOR SECURITY BREACH
A California woman is suing Target stores, claiming the retailer's security breach may have put her at risk for identity theft. The suit, filed in San Francisco, is expected to become a class action suit, with possibly millions joining in. It comes after Target's announcement that as many as 40-million shoppers' credit and debit card information were compromised between November 27th and December 15th. If you were involved, you should monitor your card account very closely and get a copy of your credit report, which you're allowed to do once a year for free. Target, meanwhile, says it's resolved the threat so you can shop with confidence.

FAMILY GETS NEW CAR AFTER MOM CRASHES INTO RAVINE
Wash your ears out with this story: remember that Ashland City family going through such a tough time? The husband had been injured and couldn't work, so the wife, Christina Reeves, was working more, and fell asleep driving home, and drove into a ravine. The mother of three survived, but has a broken leg, broken ribs and neck and spine injuries. So now who's going to bring in money? But, their luck may have started changing yesterday afternoon, when a man they didn't even know bought them an SUV.
George Shinn, the founder of the Charlotte and New Orleans Hornets, saw the family's story and said he just had to do something. He teamed up with Darrell Waltrip Motors to buy the family a 2010 Buick. The family was overwhelmed by the generous gift. Christina says, "My jaw dropped to the floor and I just cried and I was just so thankful and blessed that he had such a warm heart to want to do that for us." The Reeves are thankful for the help and promise to someday pay it forward.

CANADIAN PILOT HAD HISTORY WITH POLICE
Investigators say the Canadian that crashed his plane at Nashville International Airport, killing himself, had a history with police. Investigators still don't know why Michael Callan rented a small plane, deviated from his flight plan, flew here from Canada to end up crashed at the Nashville airport. He'd been arrested across the border for robberies, as part of a pornography sting and for disturbing the peace. (Perhaps the weirdest of all the details to come out about that story was that Callan had listed Taylor Swift as his next of kin. She knew NOTHING about the guy.)
RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE TODAY
If you're going to be out running around and you'd like an excuse to get off your feet for a bit, the Red Cross is hoping you'll stop by and donate blood. Suppllies are especially low because we've had so much wintry weather this year, and some of their other blood drives had to be cancelled.
