LEWIS COUNTY TEACHER IN TROUBLE
No matter how unruly the kids are in kindergarten class, you may NOT tie them to chairs. A Lewis County teacher has been disciplined for tying a 5 year old to a chair with a piece of twine earlier this month. The school says that is NOT how they do it. (Sometimes they use a sock filled with beans, or a ribbon, that they place in a child's lap and tell the kid to sit still and keep it there, but no twine and no tying.) The little girl is okay, and the teacher was reprimanded.

This is Child Passenger Safety Week, so safety experts are reminding us that car crashes are a leading cause of death for children under 13. And many of those deaths could be prevented if the kids were in the right safety seat, were fastened in correctly or the seat were fastened in right. Instead of  ASSUming yours is okay, why not let an expert check it out for you, for free. The Franklin Fire and Police are holding two safety seat checkup events, one Friday and one Saturday, and if you can't go then, you can just call them and make an appointment.

NETFLIX IS FINALLY LETTING YOU DELETE YOUR VIEWING HISTORY
If you're sharing a Netflix account with someone, now you can delete your viewing history. You couldn't, before, so the kids could get in and wonder why mommy and daddy had been watching... whatever they'd been watching. Netflix says you can now just go to Viewing Activity and click the X next to the offending title, and no one will ever know about your secret love for muppet movies. You can still set up a special sign in for the kids so they can't get in and watch something inappropriate.
