WEATHER: WHEN IS LAST FROST DATE?
We're about to get through the "Winter that would not die!"
Today's the 15th, and Nashville's last frost is usually no later than April 20th. After tonight's freeze, we should be able to just enjoy all the fun things that springtime brings.
If you have outdoor pets, PLEASE, remember to give them some way to keep warm overnight, and remember that their water bowl may freeze, if it's outside.

WEATHER STUFF; COVER FLOWERING/BLOOMING PLANTS
There are people you know right now with piles of sheets by the door, ready to cover their flowering plants so they don't get damaged by this freeze we're expecting overnight. Rosalie Boyd Taylor, who worked for Huntsville Botanical Gardens, says if you don't have enough sheets, you can also use cardboard boxes, your recycling bin, a large empty flower pot, or anything that'll cover your plants completely so frost can't form on them. You wanna cover anything that has flowers on it, and then make sure and take OFF the cover as soon as the temperature gets back up above freezing tomorrow morning. The temperature usually hits the overnight low between 4 and 6 in the morning.

A new study has found links to certain drugs that mothers take, and autism. The risk was even higher if the mom took the drugs in her first trimester of pregnancy. This does NOT mean you should stop taking your antidepressants! It just means you should talk to your doctor about them.

Most people have already filed, and a majority file online these days.

LOCAL NEWS: GREEN HILLS RAPIST DENIED PAROLE
The man known as the Green Hills Rapist has been denied parole. From 1985 to 1987, John Peltier stalked, kidnapped and raped several women in Nashville and then was sentenced to five life sentences, with the possibility of parole. He was quickly denied parole in his first hearing six years ago.
Peltier’s two-year rape spree came to an end in Murfreesboro, when an officer who suspected Peltier of drunken driving found a duffel bag containing burglary tools, pornography, sexual devices and audio recordings of sex in his vehicle, as well as women’s underwear, which he had stuffed down his pants.
During his hearing last week, he blamed alcohol, drugs and pornography for his crimes, and said God had changed him.
His next chance at parole is in 2020.
