METRO CRACKING DOWN ON TEXTING DRIVERS
Metro Police are taking texting while driving even more seriously with a 138% increase in citations issued this year compared to 2012. The National Highway Safety Administration reports that 10 percent of all drivers under the age of 20 involved in fatal crashes were reported as distracted at the time of the crash.

LAST CHEER AT GREER
Tonight may be the Nashville Sounds final game at Greer Stadium after 37 years. The final Sounds home game of the regular season, the "Last Cheer at Greer," tonight. But if the Sounds make the playoffs, there would be at least one home game in the postseason. The brand new First Tennessee Park is set to open in time for the 2015 season.

MOTEL HOLDUP
Police are searching this morning for two men, one armed, who robbed the desk clerk at the La Quinta Inn on Sidco Drive overnight. A guest who wandered through the lobby while this was going on was tied to a chair as the two men tried to open the safe. They did the same to a security guard. Police say the men tried for almost 45 minutes before they ripped out the safe and stole the security guard's truck.
