The Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive is its biggest fundraiser of the year. Your donations help them pay for gifts, food and clothes for needy children and families at Christmas, as well as programs year-round, including the Food Pantry, Emergency Bill assistance, and a shelter for women and children.

Want to do something good for soldiers who'll be spending the holidays far from home and loved ones? Go through your paperback books, put together care packages, and go to Booksforsoldiers.com to find out how to send those books to soldiers. Also check out BiblesforSoldiers and SupportForSoldiers.

His book not only sold enough to buy him a seizure dog, but the $41,000 raised is helping at least three more families struggling to finish their own fundraising for seizure dogs. Read his story.
