SATURDAY IS A YEAR ANNIVERSARY FOR SANDY HOOK SHOOTING
This Saturday marks one year since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting massacre in Newtown, Connecticut and donations have poured in to help the families of those who lost loved ones.  Charities have collected 28-million-dollars since the attack last December.  

SCHOOLS REOPEN TODAY
Although it's cold outside, there's patchy, very thick fog, and whatever water was on the ground overnight, froze again, schools are open today. No school closings.

Most schools are closed here in Middle Tennessee this morning. Metro/Davidson County schools, Dickson, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson county.... all closed. You can double check if you didn't get texted and aren't sure about yours.

DICKSON COUNTY SCHOOLS CLOSED
There are some people in Dickson County who are still without power after the ice storm hit them pretty hard this weekend, and got so heavy on trees and limbs that they pulled down power lines.  Dickson County schools are closed today as well.

Nashville gets another round of precip, however, possibly some freezing rain, some snow and temperatures in the 20s, tonight.

THANKSGIVING SHOPPING

141 million of us are estimated to have gone shopping over the long Thanksgiving weekend. That's a record, according to the National Retail Federation. However, we bought less, the first time we've done that since 2006. Experts think some may have spent earlier in the month when big discounts were being offered, and the rest of us are just being cautious with our money.

ANNUAL TOY REPORT OUT
If you'll be shopping for children this weekend, make sure you check out the annual "Trouble in Toyland" report that lists toy dangers to watch out for. The info from the U.S. Public Interest Research Group says some of the things parents forget to watch out for include MAGNETS on little toys, and tiny parts like eyes on plush toys that can come off and cause choking.
