KIDS SAFE AFTER CAR STOLEN

Two children are safe this morning after the car they were in was stolen from a Metro Bus station. They were found near Bicentennial Mall around 6:50. Police briefly shut down a section of Broadway searching for the vehicle. The kids were 1 and 3 years old. The person who stole the car fled on foot and has not been found.

SEALT BELT FINE

Tennessee lawmakers will consider raising the fine for not wearing a seat belt today. The Senate Finance Committee will discuss it today; the House later on. Currently the penalty for not wearing a seat belt is a whopping $10--not much of an incentive. Bill sponsors want to raise that to $50.

Students and faculty at Lipscomb University are remembering their longtime football coach today. Coach Glenn McCadams passed away yesterday after a short battle with cancer. He was 66.
