POSSIBLE TORNADO IN FRANKLIN
Emergency responders are assessing the damage and figuring out what to call the high winds that flipped a car and damaged homes in Franklin last night. Witnesses say they saw a funnel cloud, or a tornado, but officials still have to decide whether it that it touched down... to confirm it as a tornado.

AMAZON TELLING CUSTOMERS ABOUT OWED TAX
www.Amazon.com has started sending out e-mails to its customers telling them they may owe a USE tax to Tennessee. That means you'll owe at least a 2.5% tax on all your online purchases from last year that you didn't pay state sales tax on. Amazon says it's not going to tell the state tax commission who owes what, so it's up to you whether to pay, or not.

FAKE AT&T E-MAIL SCAM
There's a warning out from the Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee... about an email scam that's going around. The emails LOOK like they're from AT&T, and give you links to view your bill, pay online and download a smart phone application to manage your account. If you click them, however, the links go to a third party website that downloads a virus onto your computer.

WINTER STORM IN NORTHEAST
It looks like Winter's not quite done with us. We've got a cold snap and strong winds expected today, but we're getting off easy. Even though everything's bloomed and blossomed-out, residents may get a foot of snow in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.

There is some positive news when it comes to jobs in Tennessee. New unemployment numbers were released Thursday which show the state's March unemployment rate has dropped to 7.9%, the eighth straight month of decline.

A recent study shows WILLIAMSON county leads the STATE in binge drinking among TEENAGERS.  15% of Williamson County teens binge drink, which is about twice as many as the rest of the state or country. Last night a group of community advocates tackled addressed the problem head on in a town hall meeting...

A new era is beginning at the University of Tennessee.  Less than a year after she announced she has early onset dementia-Alzheimer's type, Pat Summitt has stepped down as the head coach of the Lady Vols. Summitt will continue to act as a mentor to players as “coach emeritus”.  Long time assistant Holly Warlick will take over as the new head coach.

The Pentagon is launching an investigation into the Secret Service scandal after 11 agents were suspended for allegedly hiring prostitutes while in Colombia with President Obama for the Summit of the Americas.  Several agents have already had their security clearances revoked as a result.

The tax filing deadline is upon us.  However, if you haven't yet filed, the IRS says filing extensions are available and if you who owe money you can USUALLY qualify for a payment plan.

FIVE PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND DOZENS INJURED AS TORNADOES SWEPT ACROSS PARTS OF OKLAHOMA AND KANSAS, BUT MANY SAY MORE LIVES WERE SAVED BY EARLIER AND MORE URGENT STORM WARNINGS. THE SYSTEM THAT CAUSED ALL THE DAMAGE IS WEAKENING AS IT MOVES TOWARD TENNESSEE. WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED HERE.
