TRIAL UNDERWAY FOR HENDERSONVILLE WOMAN LINDSEY LOWE The trial of a Hendersonville woman accused of smothering her newborn twins is under way, and both sides agree that she made no preparations for the babies' births. Prosecutors, though, say that means the 26 year old never intended for the babies to live. Defense attorneys argued that Lowe had blocked the pregnancy from her mind, and say she didn't even know what was happening when she started to give birth.

WINTER STORM WARNING FOR MIDDLE U.S./RAIN AND COLDER TEMPS FOR US As the mid U.S. gets another snow storm, we're getting rain today, and much, much colder temperatures by the end of the day. That means as you walk out the door today, keep in mind it's supposed to be down into the 30s, possibly by the time you leave work this afternoon. Some good news, though: temperatures are supposed to be up near 70 on Saturday and Sunday.
NASHVILLE SNOW We have flurries! Forecasters say this little bit of snow we're getting may get heavy enough to give us an inch of accumulation by tomorrow morning. Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) crews have already been out putting the salt-brine mix on the roads to keep them from icing up.
SNOWSTORM People in the Midwest and Central Plains are digging out from a huge snowstorm that's now moved into New England. The storm already dumped as much as a foot of snow on parts of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas.
