'MILLION-DOLLAR' LOTTERY WINNERS IN NASHVILLE AND BRENTWOOD
You probably know by now that this week's 587 million dollar Powerball jackpot had two BIG winning tickets... in other states. But there were some winners here in Tennessee too!

POWERBALL WINNERS
At least two people will share the record Powerball lottery jackpot.  The winning tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri.  The jackpot of 580-million dollars is the largest Powerball jackpot ever.  The payout would be just under 380-million if taken as a lump sum.

Every year some people just go CRAZY when they're shopping. This year, it was someone from Tennessee. A 62 year old guy who was arrested the day after Thanksgiving because he FIRED A HANDGUN at someone to hurry them up!

ENDANGERED CHILD ALERT ISSUED
Police are asking you to look out for a 3 year-old Haywood County boy, that's in west Tennessee, who's with his mom. She does not have custody of him. There's an endangered child alert in effect for Daniel Chandler. The toddler has blonde hair and blue eyes, his mom is thought to be driving a green Nissan Altima with a license plate that ends with 40P.

TENNESSEE FIRES FOOTBALL COACH DEREK DOOLEY
44 year-old Derek Dooley is out at Tennessee. The university announced the firing Sunday after Dooley posted the team's longest run of consecutive losing seasons in more than a century. Dooley had four years left on his contract, which includes a $5 million buyout. Jim Chaney, the Vol's offensive coordinator, will coach the team's last game of the season this Saturday against Kentucky.

GAS PRICES FALL BELOW $3/GALLON IN MURFREESBORO
Gas prices are down below 3 dollars a gallon for the first time in two years! A price war at two stations in Murfreesboro has them down to $2.87 a gallon. They're down to about 3.00 a gallon in other areas in and around Nashville.

There are a couple of celebrations going on today. The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center kicks off its "A County Christmas" celebration today, lighting those two million lights just after 6.

Tootsie's Orchid Lounge has its annual Birthday Bash today... with a free concert starting at 3 today in front of the store on Broadway.
