Ah, the winter doldrums....colds, flu, snow, ice. Yeah, not a winter person. Looking forward to spring and hopefully lots of traveling to visit my babies scattered to all corners of the U.S. My oldest is working in Chinle, AZ, translated, WHERE??? It is quite the isolated region. One stoplight, and I can't figure out why they even have that!
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Probably my kids say that about me all the time. My newest adventure? Learning to SKYPE! My daughter has a best friend whose hubby is serving in Iraq (thank you Brian!) and this is a way they keep in touch. I thought, wow, this would be a neat way to see and talk to my kids, too! My Arizona bound son hooked the camera up today and got me started. I am LOVING IT! They may get so tired of seeing mom, they will remove me from their contact list !! &nbs
I am really starting to miss the days when my children were school age and younger and our house was bustling with activity. It's only in the last few weeks that I have come to realize they are grown and moving on. Granted, they haven't lived at home in some time, but they were always near. Now, suddenly, I find my oldest, who just graduated from Pharmacy School, has accepted a position with Indian Health Services and will be moving to Arizona in July, my second in line is heading to St. Louis to become an air traffic controller, and my baby, an RN, is about to embark on travel nursing.
