My Mom and I may live far apart, but we stay in touch. Even when there is nothing much going on, we have an ongoing poetry game going on. That may not seem like much fun to you, but my mother's mother was an award-winning poet and so is MY mom.

A Nashville man died today of Melanoma. His name was Todd Cerney. I never met him. But he changed my life.
Todd was a songwriter. Among others, he wrote a song called "I'll Still Be Loving You" which was recorded and released by Restless Heart in 1987. I was living in Washington D.C. at the time, and I knew nothing about country music. In fact, I had never listened to a country radio station.
My wonderful husband Alan took me out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner on Saturday. Unfortunately, the place we originally planned to go had an hour wait and neither of us cared enough to hang out so we went searching for somewhere else to dine...at 7:00 p.m.... on Valentine's weekend. Um.... Well, the pickins' were slim. But we ended up finding a filet mignon dinner at a "casual" spot. Here is a picture of their VALENTINES DAY SPECIAL....
